They weren't ready???

Talking about the nekkid man we walked in on reminded me of another occasion where I was where I shouldn't have been.

This time I KNOW I had the correct address. Maybe there was even a sign up, but that could just be "hopeful memory". I was alone that day. It was 7 a.m. I slowed down to find the correct house. There it was! Lights were on, the front door was open, but nothing was in the yard, so I parked and walked up to the porch. Hmmm... it was going to be inside, huh? Well! That could mean they were selling granny's things. Hoo-boy! Was I first? Looked like it. I walked in and there they were, a man and woman sitting in front of the TV, in their pajamas eating breakfast!! "Oh, y'all aren't having a yard sale?" To which they very calmly replied, "Yeah, but we've got to get the kids dressed and taken to school first."

They just looked at me like this kind of thing happened all the time. I was mortified!! As I was backing out, I said, "Oh, I'm so sorry!" "I'll come back later." But I didn't. I just couldn't face them.

I'm trying to go to a thrift store this afternoon. My daughter called and told me about some shelves at a thrift where she lives. I hope I can get there before they close.
