Hanky Panky

My friend, Tiff, threw a Hanky Panky party for the gang tonight. We are a group of friends with one major thing in common -- we all love antiques, shopping for antiques and finding bargains. We met at Tiffany's beautiful house tonight for a vintage handkerchief exchange. These place cards were waiting for us at the table:

Aren't they just the cutest things? We had a lovely meal and lots of laughs and played Dirty Santa with the hankies each of us brought. Each hanky had a story behind it. The one Lena brought said, "To my wife"and I had chosen that one, but it was taken from me by Melanie. It had such a sweet story. There was a poem with it from a husband to his wife on their 50th wedding anniversary, dated 1913. Now, Lena wouldn't say if the story was fabricated or actually came with the hanky, but I like to believe it was with it always.

Tiffany's son graciously took a picture of us. Twice. I'll include both because I look a little tipsy in one. The one where everyone else looks great. Actually, I look tipsy in both of them and I'd had nary a drop to drink. Just water. Wonder what was in that chicken salad?

Do we look anything like you had pictured? I'm always shocked at how short I am when I see myself in a picture with other people. And I have my tall shoes on!

I still haven't had a chance to visit everyone's blog from Karla's party the other day. It's killing me. I wanna see, but I haven't been home long enough to sit down and cruise.
